Services
Our residents enjoy home-style living in our 15 bed, grand Victorian. Each bedroom sleeps twocomfortably, and there are common living spaces for meals and activities.

Belden House is staffed 24 hours a day (including awake staff for over night), with exceptional employees who take a personal interest in our residents. This adds to the family atmosphere of the home.

Three nutritious, tasty meals are prepared and served each day and healthy snacks are encouraged and provided. Special diatary needs are taken into consideration in order to promote optimum health for each resident.

A range of assistance is provided for activities of daily living, taking into consideration the special needs of each resident. Our staff members are available to give minimal to maximum assistance with tasks like showering, dressing, and grooming.

Belden House residents are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of household tasks, according to their ability, and we also assist them with cleaning their room and doing their laundry. In addition to this, the Belden House residents enjoy a variety of planned activities, including those at home and in our community. Our regularly scheduled activities at Belden House include such things as: Game night; an evening of coffee at the book store; listening to good literature being read aloud; birthday parties; Bible study for those who choose to attend; movie and popcorn night; music and more. We sprinkle through this mix of fun, community activities like dances, the Sonoma County Fair events, art classes, tours, mid-week activities at church, and whatever piques our interest in the Santa Rosa area.

Monitoring our residents' health, we document and evaluate any changes that we see. We are supported by a team of doctors and professionals in our community, who become very familiar with the needs of each resident, and so assist us in maintaining good health. Our Belden staff arrange appointments and transport residents to doctors, therapists, and other health professionals

Many of our residents enjoy programs away from Belden House each day. There are opportunities in the Santa Rosa community to become involved in day programs, which meet the social and occupational needs of our residents. Volunteer work and paid employment are also available, and we assist our residents in arranging these activities.

We are fortunate in our community to have a highly recognized junior college, which offers several adaptive classes available to our residents. A few of their favorites are the body conditioning, swimming, and therapeutic horseback riding classes. We strive to meet each resident at their level of need, and offer support to those who wish to participate at the Junior College.

Many of our Belden residents enjoy going to church each Sunday, and also participate in various church related activities. It is our pleasure to provide transportation to, and supervision at these faith-based gatherings.
